our approach
busylab is a small research and development team, established to identify
opportunities in the local African context using new technologies. Our
focus is on agriculture, public internet facilities, internet service
provision, and community resource directories.
Using low cost technologies to pilot solutions based on stakeholder
input, we believe there are numerous opportunities for individuals
and companies to identify new opportunities for growth and profit
through better and more efficient business practices. We believe
technology has a part to play in modernizing business practices,
but is not an end in itself.
Our products all have a limited lifespan as we believe that most
products are in a constant state of revision and re-writing as markets
and technologies change. And our focus is strictly on listening to
the people we intend to serve, and understanding what their needs
are and what they may or may not practically use in their daily lives.
